Customer Questions

Using HelpPair to find service help
HelpPair is a service-request marketplace designed to help people connect with participating independent service businesses. HelpPair does not ordinarily perform the underlying service itself.
Tell HelpPair what service you need, your location, timing and other relevant details. The information may be organized and routed toward participating businesses that may serve that category or area.
HelpPair does not charge customers simply for submitting a standard service request through the marketplace unless a specific offering clearly states otherwise.
No. Submitting a HelpPair request does not require you to hire any particular provider. You decide whether you want to speak with, evaluate or hire a business.
Depending on the service, location and marketplace configuration, more than one participating independent provider may have an opportunity to contact you about your request.
Independent service businesses determine their own estimates, pricing and service terms. HelpPair does not set the final price charged by an independent provider.
Independent providers are responsible for their own work, agreements, warranties, licensing, insurance and service outcomes. Customers should independently evaluate a provider before hiring.

Service Request Questions

What happens after a request is submitted
Include the correct service category, location, timing and a useful description of what you need. Clear information can help participating providers better understand the potential project.
Response timing varies based on category, location, provider participation, availability and demand. HelpPair does not guarantee a specific response time.
Provider availability is not guaranteed. Some categories or geographic areas may have more participating businesses than others.
Yes. HelpPair is designed as a multi-category marketplace. Available categories may include moving, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, electrical, cleaning, landscaping and other services.
You are not obligated to hire a provider. If you no longer need the service, you may decline further discussions or inform a provider that the project is no longer active.

Provider Questions

Participating as a service business
Eligible independent service businesses may apply or register to participate. Provider availability, categories and participation requirements may vary.
Provider profiles can include the service categories relevant to the business so HelpPair can better understand which types of opportunities may be appropriate.
HelpPair can use geographic coverage information supplied by providers to help organize relevant marketplace opportunities.
No. HelpPair does not guarantee a specific number of leads, customer contacts, booked projects, revenue or return on investment.
Once a provider is connected with a prospective customer, the independent provider generally manages estimates, pricing, scheduling and service discussions directly.

Lead & Pricing Questions

Provider purchasing and lead policies
Lead pricing may vary based on service category, geographic market, demand, opportunity type and other marketplace conditions.
No. A lead represents a potential customer opportunity. A customer may not answer, may hire someone else, postpone the work or decide not to complete the project.
Certain lead circumstances may qualify for review under HelpPair's Lead Purchase & Credit Policy. A lost sale or unanswered customer does not automatically qualify a lead for credit.
Yes. Pricing may change based on market conditions, category, geography, demand and other applicable factors.
Review the Provider Agreement and the Lead Purchase & Credit Policy for the detailed terms applicable to provider participation and lead purchases.
