Purpose
HelpPair is designed to connect customers seeking services with participating independent businesses. These Provider Standards are intended to support a marketplace where customers receive clear information and providers compete responsibly.
Participation in HelpPair does not guarantee service requests, leads, customers, revenue, job awards or any particular volume of opportunities.
Accurate business information
Providers should keep information supplied to HelpPair accurate and reasonably current, including business name, contact information, service categories, service areas and other information used to operate the marketplace.
- Do not impersonate another business or misrepresent ownership, experience or qualifications.
- Do not advertise services that the business is not prepared or legally permitted to provide.
- Notify HelpPair when material account or business information changes.
Respectful customer communication
Providers should communicate professionally and use reasonable judgment when contacting a customer about a service request.
- Identify the business clearly when contacting a customer.
- Contact customers only for legitimate purposes related to the service request or another lawful relationship.
- Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against or intentionally mislead customers.
- Honor reasonable requests to stop communications where required by applicable law.
- Do not represent that HelpPair has selected, endorsed or guaranteed the provider unless HelpPair has expressly authorized that statement.
Estimates, pricing & agreements
Providers control their own estimates, pricing, payment terms, schedules and customer contracts. Pricing presented to customers should be communicated clearly and should not intentionally conceal material charges.
Any estimate, deposit, cancellation term, warranty or service agreement is between the provider and customer unless HelpPair expressly states otherwise for a specific offering.
Licensing, insurance & legal requirements
Each provider is responsible for determining and maintaining the licenses, registrations, permits, insurance, bonds and other credentials required for its business, location and services.
A provider must not claim to be licensed, insured, bonded, background checked, certified or otherwise verified unless the statement is accurate and current. A HelpPair label should not be treated as a substitute for the provider's own compliance obligations.
Professional conduct
Providers are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with a professional service marketplace.
- Show reasonable respect for customers, property and scheduled commitments.
- Use truthful descriptions of services, qualifications and availability.
- Avoid fraudulent, deceptive, abusive or unlawful practices.
- Address disputes and customer concerns in a professional manner.
- Comply with applicable consumer-protection, advertising and service laws.
Service requests & lead use
Customer opportunities received through HelpPair are intended to help providers evaluate and respond to genuine service requests. Providers may not misuse, scrape, resell, publish or improperly distribute customer lead information.
Lead purchases, eligibility for credits and related marketplace rules are governed by the applicable HelpPair Lead Purchase & Credit Policy and Provider Agreement.
Customer information & privacy
Providers should safeguard customer information and use it only for legitimate business purposes consistent with the customer's request, applicable law and the provider's own legal obligations.
Customer information obtained through HelpPair should not be used for unrelated data brokerage, unauthorized resale, deceptive marketing or other improper purposes.
Service quality, complaints & cooperation
Because providers are independent businesses, they remain responsible for the services they perform and for resolving issues arising from their work. HelpPair may request information when reviewing marketplace complaints, account concerns or reported violations.
Providers should respond accurately and reasonably promptly to legitimate HelpPair inquiries concerning their marketplace participation.
Platform integrity
Providers may not manipulate HelpPair systems or marketplace activity through fake accounts, false customer requests, fabricated reviews, payment abuse, unauthorized automation or other deceptive activity.
Providers should not attempt to bypass security controls, access another user's account or interfere with the normal operation of the platform.
Review & enforcement
HelpPair may review reported conduct or account activity and may restrict, suspend or terminate marketplace participation when reasonably necessary to protect customers, providers, the platform or comply with law, subject to applicable agreements and policies.
HelpPair may update these standards as the marketplace, service categories and legal requirements evolve.
Independent businesses
Participating providers are independent businesses. HelpPair is a connection and marketing platform and, unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific offering, does not employ providers or perform the underlying customer service.
Providers remain responsible for their employees and contractors, estimates, pricing, scheduling, contracts, licensing, insurance, taxes, permits, warranties, workmanship, safety and service outcomes.
